TOURNAMENT OF FRIENDS SKILLS COMPETITION
U16 and U18 - Friday, November 21/2025 RINK #1 WGSC 7 pm to 9 pm
U11, U13 and U15 - Saturday, November 22/2025 RINK #1 WGSC 8:30 am to 10:30 am
This is a very fun and friendly skills competition that will keep everyone on their toes! We encourage all teammates, families and fans to come out and cheer everyone on! Winners will be presented immediatly following the conclusion of each groups events.
***Please note - if your game is immediatly preceeding or following the skills competition, please do not worry. You will not be penalized or miss any event of the skills and we will not start games until the competiion is complete. We have built in a buffer on both ends.
IF YOU HAVE NOT SUBMITTED YOUR TEAMS 4 PLAYERS AND 1 GOALIE, PLEASE DO SO BY NOVEMBER 20TH HERE
· 5 events: Puck control (timed), Hardest shot, Shooting accuracy, Fastest skater (timed) and Top Tendy.
· Teams must submit a list of 4 players and 1 goalie and identify who is competing in each event. ***The same player CANNOT compete in more than one event.

If a submitted player becomes injured or suspended before or during the tournament, please email a substitute player name as soon as possible to [email protected] or come to Tournament Office at WGSC.
· Participation is NOT mandatory.
· Teams who want to participate must have their list of players submitted by November 20th.
· Submissions will not be accepted after the tournament begins.
· Participating players are encouraged to be ready 15 minutes before the start of the competition for a quick meeting.
· All events run at the same time on Rink 1 except the timed lap which happens at the end of each competition.
Faster Skater
- last event – 2 skaters go at the same time – start on opposite sides of rink
- each participant will get 2 tries (once clockwise and once anticlockwise)
- fastest time wins
- if there is a tie, we do a one-and-done playoff
Puck Control
- each participant will get 2 tries through the obstacle course
- fastest time wins
Shooting Accuracy
- each participant will get 2 tries, the best combined score wins
- 1 point for 5-hole
- 1 point for the big metal ball in the middle
- 3 points for the small metal ball in the top corners
- if there is a tie, we do a one-and-done playoff
Hardest Shot
- participants have a multiple tries.
- the hardest shot wins (Radar gun)
