STUDENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
 
  1. We are looking for 4 - 5 student volunteers over the age of 13 to assist our younger players as they learn to play hockey on the ice during our 2 hrs of Little Saints each week.  Must be available Mondays 5 pm to 7 pm at Lions Park.
  2.  We are looking for 10 student volunteers over the age of 13 to assist our new Mini Saints on the ice as they learn how to skate for the first time!  Must be available Fridays between 5 pm and 6 pm at Lions Park. 
  3. 10 student volunteers are needed for our BCHL Super Saturday events.
  4. We will also have other volunteer opportunities pop up throughout the season. Email us to let us know if you would like to be added to our volunteer lists.

    Highschool students can use these hours towards their Community Service commitment.  If you are interested, please contact [email protected]

ON-ICE POLICIES FOR STUDENT VOLUNTEERS
The following policies will be strictly enforced to ensure the safety of all - players, coaches and volunteers.

• You will be assigned a specific task and/or group and will be required to stay with that group for the assigned time.
• No sticks are allowed on the ice for any student volunteer at any time.
• Engage your group or player with positive feedback and by demonstrating and practicing the skill you are teaching.
• Skate beside the players when drills are running and provide corrections or praise.
• Get clarification or additional direction from Head Coaches before you start your lesson.
• NEVER leave the group/player you are assigned to.
• NO free skating, racing or chasing anyone at anytime.
• Volunteers must wear approved hockey helmet, neck guard and skates.
• This ice time is not for you to practice your own skills.
• Socializing with other volunteers or spectators is unacceptable
• If negative behaviour and/or above policies are not being followed, you will be given one warning and then asked to leave the ice – no exceptions.
