Congratulations George and thank you!

Our board had the opportunity to attend the Alliance Annual General meeting last week to review and celebrate the past season of hockey and to glance forward to the future direction of Alliance Hockey.
We were extremely fortunate to be able to celebrate George Ziotek, our President for the past 3 seasons. He was presented the prestigious  Award of Merit from the Alliance for his outstanding contribution to our organization, the Alliance  and the sport of hockey.

Under George's care, the BCHL has been extremely successful in improving member experience, growing our financials, increasing fund raising and sponsorship, adding programs and tournaments and our volunteer base has grown significantly.

George was instrumental in the creation of the Interlock League between Woodstock, Brantford 99ers and Brantford Church Leagues.
He has recently led the group who started the Bell City Cup for the Brantford City Championships.
During his time the BCHL has added extra Goalie Training and Player Development programs as well as spring programming for our membership.
The annual Tournament of Friends has had an amazing rebirth with his guidance.
We have experienced a significant increase to registration numbers and financial success. The tournament is heading into its 35th year.
George and team has seamlessly hosted The Alliance IP Festival for the past 2 seasons.
George has supported and encouraged his board to bring in new programming to grow the game. This past season we had an incredible partnership with local schools, the Alliance and Hockey Canada for Try Hockey.

Our leader has had an amazing impact on our group creating a familial experience in and around the arenas. His magnetism has attracted many new contributors to the active board and event volunteers. He has adopted all of the players as his own on the ice as a coach and off the ice when planning their next experience. Not one of our players from our Littlest Saints to our Juveniles is forgotten in his careful attention to detail.

His leadership over the past few seasons has been exemplary. We all look forward to your continued support in your new role on our board. Thank you George for all that you do for our team! You are a Saint!
