NAME CHANGE FOR BCHL
Submitted By Sandra Gagne on Thursday, December 17, 2020

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On Tuesday December 1, 2020, it was approved at the Annual AGM for the Brantford Church Hockey League to change its name to the Brantford Community Hockey LeagueThe change will take place effective immediately.

The BCHL Executive is extremely excited with the new name and feels it appropriately reflects the changing times and diversity in our community.  We want everyone to know that we are here for all youth who want to play, regardless of skill level or financial status.  The mission of the Brantford Community Hockey League, BCHL, shall be to foster the development of sportsmanship, life skills, physical strength, skill, and endurance and for all players to excel by providing youth with the opportunity to have fun while playing this great game.  This will not change our commitment to providing the best programming that we can in both House League and Select Hockey.  We are still committed to our traditional scheduling module.

BCHL was Brantford’s Original Hockey Association and we are proud of our league’s history.  We will continue to honor the heritage of our community and all those who have played with the association over the years.
